Leaving work and a guy in a 99 (ish) EX pulled in front of me. Of course he had red badges, stickers and a soda can as a muffler. He cut me off turning onto South Orange Ave and then tried to keep up with me as I got tired of his shit and left him behind....

I resemble that remark. At least the Civic part.

Something about driving a Civic brings all the jackasses out of the woodwork. When I was driving my 98 EX Coupe, people would attempt to drag race me constantly (usually in rush hour traffic). Some memorable ones include a kid in a lightly-riced late model KIA Rio, another kid in a late model Si Sedan with red plasti-dipped wheels, and four guys in a bone-stock FWD Lancer.
One of the reasons I love my current DD is that it’s pretty much invisible to everyone. Douche-bros don’t notice me and cops don’t bother me.

But you have a Civic.
But you have red badges.
But you have stickers. IIRC.
But you have a muffler that may or may not be a soda can.

When I had my e36, riced out Hondas tried to race me left and right. Oddly, when I jumped to my current e46, it all stopped. Both were/are red, but the e46 is a 4 door vs the 2 door e36.

How do you like it? I enjoyed the one I test drove way back when. I miss having a naturally aspirated engine that revs (my first car was a 96 Integra GSR that had ITR IM, ITR cams, H/I/E, Hondata, Tein Coilovers, and a bunch of other stuff). My current cars are a Mk7 GTI and 335is (both 6MT, they’ll have to pry a manual from my cold dead hands!). While I absolutely love my 335is for a fun car and plan to never sell and it’s probably a “grass is always greener” thing, I miss that spine tingling rush to redline when I drive just to drive.

Having jumped from a Integra to a TL-S to the Si, I kind of miss the bigger engine but enjoy having the freedom to rev. I’m fending off the mod bug for now as it seems pretty prefect stock

Oh yeah I would like a bigger engine that revs. And I admit having two cars changes things because if the daily has torque that's great then revs on a fun car (or a bigger engine that revs).
